Marquette School of Therapeutic Massage
If you are looking for career satisfaction and work that you love, let us show you the way to personal and professional success! Our teachers and curriculum provide you with quality training to become a successful Certified Massage Therapist. Our 16-week, 500 Hour, Hybrid Distance Learning program was created to allow you to pursue training without spending months of free time away from jobs or family. It allows you to do much of the work online and around your schedule. You will have time for family, friends, and work while you learn. This course combines the rich content and learning applications of online distance learning, and the essential component of time with your instructor. Our program provides everything needed to become an entry level Massage Therapist, and more! The tuition you pay is less than half of what most schools in the region charge. More time in class does not equate to more job satisfaction, higher skill level, or earning capacity.
Topics Covered in School Include:
- Swedish Massage
- Seated massage
- Sports Massage
- Trigger/Pressure Point Therapy
- Myofascial Release
- Muscle Energy techniques
- Kinesiology
- Basic Shiatsu
- Legislation/Regulatory issues
- Business and Ethics
...and more!
Since 2001, we have provided this opportunity to nearly 200 students, enabling them to do the work they love, across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. Many of our graduates have become members of Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals, which offers various membership levels, support, and insurance for them regardless of where they choose to practice.
Class sizes are small (8-12 students.) There is much to do during this time, and this class size gives us the opportunity to gauge your progress individually. The time we spend in class (6 hours per week/16 weeks) is an intense combination of lecture, discussion, and hands-on massage.
